Dr. Paul Krawitz operated as a highly recognized, board-certified ophthalmic surgeon specializing in the surgical management of complex glaucoma and laser-assisted cataract extractions. Throughout his career, he held the esteemed academic position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology in Manhattan, earning a widespread reputation for innovating highly successful microsurgical techniques for cataracts, progressive glaucoma, and specialized intraocular lens implementations.

He graduated with High Honors from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his foundational internal medicine training at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York before pursuing residency training in ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he was chosen to serve as Chief Resident.

Dr. Krawitz pursued an additional year of specialized clinical fellowship validation in glaucoma at Mount Sinai under the direct guidance of Dr. Steven Podos and Dr. Carl Camras—both celebrated globally as pioneering giants in visual field preservation.

Parallel to his surgical career, Dr. Krawitz served as the President and C.E.O. of Vitamin Science, Inc. from November 2001 through January 2022. As a leading voice in specialized ocular nutrition, he developed and held several protective patents and structural trademarks for therapeutic ocular formulas designed to combat advanced macular degeneration and severe dry eye syndromes.
